Connecting Google Calendar

Let Milo see your free/busy and book real appointments.

Key takeaway

Once you connect Google Calendar, Milo can check your real availability and book confirmed appointments directly into your calendar — live, during a call, without any back-and-forth.

What this unlocks

Without calendar access, Milo can only take a caller's name and number and pass it on — you still have to call back to schedule. With Google Calendar connected, Milo does the entire booking on the call: it finds an available slot, confirms it with the caller, and creates the calendar event. Book appointment

The caller hangs up with a confirmed time. You open your calendar and the appointment is already there.

Connecting

  1. 1

    Go to Integrations

In the left sidebar, click Integrations, then click Google Calendar.

  2. 2

    Click 'Connect'

You'll be redirected to Google's authentication page. Sign in with the Google account that owns the calendar you want Milo to book into.

  3. 3

    Approve access

Google will ask you to approve the permissions Milo needs. Review them, then click Allow.

  4. 4

    You're connected

You'll be returned to your dashboard with a green 'Connected' status. Milo can now book appointments immediately.

Choosing which calendar Milo books into

If your Google account has multiple calendars (personal, work, shared team calendars), you can choose which one Milo writes new appointments into. Go to Integrations → Google Calendar → Settings and select the target calendar from the dropdown.

Milo checks your free/busy status across all calendars you share with the connected account — so if you're blocked on your personal calendar, Milo won't offer that slot to callers. It only writes new appointments to the calendar you select.

Permissions we ask for

Before booking a slot, Milo does a final free/busy check in real time — so there's no risk of a double-booking if you were scheduled in another tool just moments before the call. The caller will hear Milo gracefully offer the next available time instead.

Milo requests the minimum permissions needed:

  • Read your calendar events (to check availability before suggesting slots)
  • Write new events (to create the appointment)

Milo never reads the content of existing events — only whether a time slot is free or busy.

Disconnecting

To disconnect Google Calendar, go to Integrations → Google Calendar and click Disconnect. Milo will immediately stop attempting to book appointments and will revert to taking caller details for a manual follow-up. Existing appointments on your calendar are not affected.

You can reconnect at any time with the same Google account or a different one.
