Pricing questions
How does pay-as-you-go work?
After signup you top up your balance (minimum $10), and we deduct from it as you use Milo — per call, per SMS, per month for your number. No subscriptions, no monthly invoice, no auto-renewals you forgot about. Balance never expires.
What's the minimum top-up?
$10. You can add any amount above that, anytime. We'll email you when your balance gets low, or you can set auto-topup to refill automatically when the balance dips below a threshold you set.
How is my balance spent?
Three things come out of your balance: (1) talk time — $0.20/min per minute Milo spends on a call, (2) the monthly number fee — $3 deducted on the day you bought the number each month, (3) any SMS Milo sends during calls — $0.01 each. Inbound calls that don't connect are free.
Can I see exactly where my money goes?
Yes. Your billing dashboard splits every charge into two categories — AI costs (the language model running the conversation) and phone costs (inbound, outbound, transfers, SMS) — and shows a per-call line item for each. Nothing is bundled or hidden.
What happens if my balance hits zero?
Any active calls finish normally. After that, new calls to your number get a 'service unavailable' message until you top up. If the balance stays at zero for 7 days, the phone number is released back to the carrier — you'd need to provision a new one (with a new $3 setup fee).
Do you charge for calls that don't connect?
No. Voicemails, no-answers, busy signals, and silent disconnects are free. We only bill actual talk time, rounded up to the next minute.
Does my balance expire?
Never. Whatever you've topped up stays in your account until you use it (or close the account and request a refund).
What if I want a UK or German number?
We can procure numbers in most countries, but international carriers require proof of a registered business in that country plus a director ID. Email [email protected] with the country and we'll quote the exact monthly rate and handle the compliance and provisioning (typically 2–5 business days).
Volume pricing for high-call businesses?
Same per-minute rate up to about 5,000 minutes/month. If you're consistently above that, email us — we'll set up volume pricing.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Stop topping up, let your balance drain, and your number is released after 7 days at zero balance. Or email us to close the account immediately — we refund any unused balance on request.
