Campaign budgets, forecasts and email alerts
Cap what a campaign can spend in total or per day, see what the rest of the list will cost, and know which emails Milo sends along the way.
Give a campaign a total budget, a daily budget or both. Calling stops when a budget is reached, but calls already in progress finish. The Overview tab shows what you've spent and what the rest of the list is likely to cost, and Milo emails you before anything runs out.
Setting a budget
In the campaign's settings, under Dates and budget:
- Total budget (USD): calling stops once the campaign has spent this much.
- Daily budget (USD): calling stops for the day once today's spend reaches it, then starts again the next day. The daily budget resets at midnight UTC.
- Start calling from / Stop calling at: no calls go out before the start time, even if the campaign is live. At the stop time, queued calls are cancelled and the campaign ends.
Leave any of these empty for no limit.
Spend and forecast
The budget card on the Overview tab shows:
- Progress: how many players have been called, how many are queued, and how many callbacks are booked
- Spent: total spend against your budget, and today's spend against the daily budget
- Rest of the list: an estimate of what the remaining players will cost
- Calling window: how many days are left before the end date
At first the forecast uses your other campaigns, or a starting estimate if you don't have any. Once this campaign has made some calls, the forecast is based on its own calls. The bar turns amber at 80% of the budget and red at 100%. The card also warns you if your balance or the remaining budget won't cover the rest of the list.
The emails you'll get
| When it's sent | |
|---|---|
| 80% of the budget used | The campaign has spent 80% of its total budget |
| Budget reached, calling stopped | The total budget is used up. Raise it and calling carries on where it stopped. |
| Today's budget reached | The daily budget is used up. Calling resumes the next day. |
| Your balance won't finish this campaign | Your balance is lower than the forecast cost of the players still queued. Sent at most once a day. |
| Paused: calls stopped connecting | Milo paused the campaign automatically |
| Has called its whole list | Every player on the list has been called, with a summary of how it went |
| Has ended | The end date passed, with how many queued calls were cancelled |
Each alert is sent once. If you raise the budget or add a new list, the alerts reset and can be sent again.
Daily summary
Every morning at 07:00 UTC, Milo emails a one-line summary of the previous day's campaign calls, such as "Campaigns on 21 Oct: 412 calls, 37 offers accepted". It's only sent on days when there were campaign calls.
Each team member chooses which emails they get. Go to Settings → My notifications and use the Campaign budgets, daily summaries and reports setting to turn all of these emails on or off.
